Trip
Trip: 31st Oct – 4th Nov 2022 ‘Picnic’ ‘Trip’ ‘Excursion’ ‘Outing’ are the things that make a students life memorable. 31st October to 4th November 2022 can be counted as the best days of this academic year by the students of TCC. We visited the capecomirin the tip of our country kanyakumari. We travelled by Nagercoil express and from there travelled by a private bus to kanyakumari enjoying every moment of the 45 minute journey. The scenically beautiful pathway greeted us with lush green trees, water bodies, bridges.
Our first visit was to the historic padmanampuram palace where we got to see the antiques of the 7th century used by the royals. From there we proceeded to the highest bridge in Asia the 'Thotil paalam'. The 2 km walk over the narrow bridge was the most adventurous one as we saw rocks, streams and even snakes below. We then proceeded to the sunset point at the beach but as our ill luck would have it dark clouds camaflouged the sunset. We shopped in the beach vicinity. We spent the night at the claretian retreat center and enjoyed the hospitality of the claretian fathers. They offered mass for us the following day with breakfast.
Not taking the boat ride to the Vivekananda rock doesn’t complete the visit, we did a jolly and merry ride by boat to the rock and back. We were invited for lunch by one of our old student from the fishing village of Edindakarai. A sumptuous sea food spread coupled with loads of warmth and love, playing at beach even in rain made our trip memorable and refreshing. We came back to Bangalore with our hearts and minds filled with gladness.
